Final Submission Post


this being my 3rd GameJam, 2nd one for GameDev.tv, I am feeling mixed. It is about 24hours until submission date. While the game is practically complete I am just feeling completely burnt out, despite spending less time working on the game than my prior jam. Maybe it was just how close this and the Dungeon Crawler Jam were to eachother. regardless despite having simpler and less mechanics i found myself making many simple mistakes, both in code and just in Unity's inspector and component settings. Making me feel much more frustrated throughout. 

At this point I'm not quite happy with the state of the game, but the gameplay loop is there. 
I think the biggest hang up this entire project is and still is issues with collisions and collision detection. I've tried rewriting my Player controller twice. used a third party. then went back, which somehow semi-fixed collisions.  It has just been a mess of me leaving it alone and going back to it after working out other gameplay features for a bit.

All in all between putting in more hours at work, as well as possible burnout from 2 jams within a short time frame. It was just a general rough project to work on despite its overall simplicity in comparison to my prior jam project. I'm calling it here for the project though. Maybe after a day or two of rest I will come back and fix what i want to fix and update it Tuesday, during the voting period, but for now, That's all folks
